Founder-Led, Multi-Channel Brand Bartisans is a premium, all-natural cocktail mixer brand founded by Jovita and her son Jordan — a trained mixologist — born out of a lockdown kitchen and now available across D2C, quick commerce platforms, retail stores, and HoReCa. With a wide range of flavours, a Shark Tank appearance, and a strategic investment from Tilaknagar Industries, Bartisans is building what its founder calls “an iconic hosting brand” — patient, story-led, and in it for the long term. Brego Business came on board at a pivotal moment — just as the business was entering a more structured phase of growth.

By her own admission, Jovita built Bartisans on instinct. The product was strong, the brand connected, and customers responded — but the numbers weren’t something she had full clarity on. When funding came in, the questions became sharper:

What are my margins?

How do I calculate COGS properly?

What do CM1, CM2, CM3 actually mean for my business?

Post-COVID, D2C demand softened as consumers moved back to bars and restaurants. The brand expanded into other channels, and then quick commerce became a major growth driver.

What started as a largely D2C business quickly became multi-channel — each channel with its own cost structures, margins, and operational complexity. The existing financial setup wasn’t built for this shift.

Then came the investment from Tilaknagar Industries. With a listed company as a strategic investor, the expectations around reporting, accuracy, and consistency increased significantly. The business didn’t just need books to be maintained — it needed clarity on what the numbers actually meant.

Brego stepped in as the business was scaling across channels and reporting expectations were becoming more structured. The focus was simple: make the numbers clear, usable, and reliable — for both the founder and the investor.

1. Structured Reporting for Investor Requirements

Set up a consistent reporting system aligned with the expectations of a listed strategic investor — ensuring clean, timely, and reliable financials every quarter.

2. MIS Built for a Multi-Channel Business

Built a channel-wise and consolidated MIS across D2C, QCOM, and B2B — covering contribution margins and overall business performance. This became the first time the founder had a single view of how each channel was actually performing — and how it contributed to the business as a whole.

3. COGS Structuring & Margin Clarity

Worked through COGS in detail — structuring it across SKUs and channels to give the business a clear understanding of margins.

4. Finance Highlighting Operational Decisions

Started flagging insights that impact real decisions — like how pack sizes affect logistics costs, or how channel mix impacts profitability.

“There was a time when those numbers would fly in the air. Today, instinctively, something that's off will stand out. Just that transition — from someone who was so afraid to someone who can actually see it now — that's a big achievement for me.” — Jovita, Co-founder, Bartisans

1. Consistent, Investor-Ready Reporting

Quarterly reporting is now structured, reliable, and aligned with the expectations of a listed strategic investor.

2. MIS That the Founder Actually Uses

The MIS is now central to how the business is run — giving clarity on channel performance, contribution margins, and overall profitability.

3. Clear Understanding of Margins

With structured COGS in place, the team can now evaluate pricing, channels, and growth decisions with real cost visibility.

4. Better Decisions Across Functions

Finance now plays a role beyond reporting — helping the team make smarter calls across pricing, packaging, and channel strategy.
