indie wild
From one country's books to four — building the financial backbone of a global beauty brand.
01 The Client
Brand: indie wild
Industry: Beauty & Skincare (D2C)
Entities: India, UK, USA, Netherlands
Brego Solutions: Accounts, Finance & MIS
Scaling Across Markets indie wild is a fast-growing, globally distributed beauty brand co-founded by Diipa Büller-Khosla & Oleg Büller-Khosla — built on the intersection of Ayurvedic heritage and modern skincare. Operating across four countries with a growing D2C presence, the brand came to Brego Business at an inflection point: scaling fast, but with financial infrastructure that hadn’t fully evolved alongside that growth. They started with us for India accounts only. And that first engagement opened the door to everything else.
02 The Problem
Fragmented Systems
When indie wild first came to us, the India books needed attention. Accounting had been maintained on a cash basis, and the complexity of selling across multiple platforms had introduced inconsistencies over time.
We began by cleaning up the India books — building a structured MIS and getting the system running the way it should.
Then came the investment round. During due diligence, we worked closely with the team to support the process. But this also revealed a larger gap:
The UK, US, and Netherlands entities required the same level of structure — and there was no consolidated view of the business across markets.
Leadership was manually pulling data from different entities and piecing it together. Four entities. Four separate systems. No unified financial view.
There was also a need to strengthen cost visibility at a product level — particularly around SKU-wise costing — to enable clearer margin understanding across markets.
03 The Solution
Centralised Financial Control
We didn’t just maintain the books. We restructured how financial data flows across the business. We proposed that Brego become the central data team across all entities — standardising how data is recorded, processed, and reported across India, US, UK, and Netherlands. From there, we built both individual entity MIS and a consolidated view — giving leadership complete visibility across markets.
1. Full Multi-Entity Consolidation
Took over accounts across all four entities. Cleaned up historical data, reconciled balances, and built a single consolidated financial view — consistent, accurate, and audit-ready.
2. SKU-Level COGS Build
Worked closely with the operations team to structure SKU-level costing. Built a systematic COGS framework — giving the team clear visibility into product-level margins.
3. Individual + Consolidated MIS
Developed structured MIS reporting across each entity along with a consolidated global view — enabling both market-level and overall business decision-making.
04 The Results
From Data to Decision-Making
What started as a single-country clean-up evolved into a centralised financial system that directly supports how the business operates and scales.
1. One Consolidated View, Four Countries
Leadership now has a unified financial view across India, US, UK, and Netherlands — eliminating the need for manual consolidation across entities.
2. Clear Product & Margin Visibility
With structured SKU-level costing in place, the team now has clarity on margins across products and markets — enabling more confident pricing and planning decisions.
3. MIS That Drives Real Decisions
We built a structured MIS layer across individual entities and at a consolidated level — giving the team visibility into revenue, profitability, cost structures, and spend behaviour across markets. This allows the team to identify which markets are scaling efficiently, track how spend translates into contribution, and make faster, data-backed decisions without relying on manual analysis.
4. Finance as a Strategic Function
Finance is no longer just reporting — it’s actively informing decisions across marketing, operations, and expansion.
The clean books earned trust. And trust earned everything else.
Your books should be working better for you.
If your financial infrastructure hasn't kept pace with your growth, let's change that. At Brego Business, we start with what's broken, and start building what's next.
